The last stop on our trip was Mark's homecoming with Slovenia! And WOW!! It was so AMAZING! I told Mark that I would absolutely move here. I also told him that I feel we will be Mission Presidents here. HA!

This is Lake Bled, the most amazing place! Perfect clear blue water, amazing castle, and amazing church! Wow what a beautiful place! I took this picture and edited it.

As we were driving through the country side we had to get out to take pictures of the beautiful country, here is Anne.

All the houses in the country are so beautiful! And they all have what are called "Sobes" which are apartments for nightly rent. We were supposed to stay in a hostel in Ljubljana, but once we got to Bled, and Bohinj, we just had to stay in one of these sobes

This is in Bohinj, we went into the canyon, and wow, amazing! I am going to say that so much in this post! Now, looking at this next picture, you're going to say, there is no water in it. But heck yes there is! You just can't see it cause it is SO clear! All the reddish yellow rocks are actually under water.

The second day in Slovenia we decided to go play in Lake Bled!

This next sequence is so funny! Enjoy!

After playing in the lake we went up to the castle! We didn't go in but the views around it were breathtaking!

After the castle we went to another AMAZINGLY beautiful place called, Vintgar. It is a canyon river followed up by a waterfall. SO amazing! most bule, clear, amazing place I have ever been, it was just so amazing. Hold your jaw closed while you look at these.

Now this next picture was taken on a Saturday night in Ljubljana. It is EMPTY! apparently in Slovenia the weekend means stay inside. Crazy!

Sunday was SO fun! We got to go to the branch that Mark served in in Maribor. Most of the people that were still there and in leadership positions Mark brought in. It was such an amazing experience being somewhere where your husband had such an impact and it having such an impact on him.

This is the church in Ljubljana, it was huge! The church in Maribor was just a rented out space. Hopefully soon they will have a church like this.

After church we went to Andre's house. Mark actually baptized him. He and his family lives so humbly, but they are so cheerful and full of light! I loved this little kitty! So sweet!

This concludes our European Adventure. It was SOOOO fun! I miss it! And I am so grateful that we were able to go and experience this!

Venice!!

I skipped Venice! We were in Venice before we left on the cruise. It was SO fun! Exactly what you would imagine it to be, it was pretty surreal being somewhere that is so different and beautiful. This is Mark and I on one of the main bridges, I edited this photo with my Instagram app!

Cruise!!

So the second part of our trip was going on a Cruise! This was gifted to us by Mark's parents as Mark's graduation present! It was SO fun! Sadly I didn't take any pictures of the cruise ship and activities. BUT! I did get pictures of the stops that the ship had! The first place we stopped was Dubrovnik, Croatia! It was a surprise, oh my goodness it is SO beautiful! These picture below is the gate to the "old town" It has its original walls, one of the best preserved cities. We all didn't know what to expect as we went there and we were all pleasantly surprised

When we got into the city we found a driver that would take us to all the best spots in Dubrovnik, He drove us around the Island and we stopped at this look out spot. The opening to the right is from the Ocean and is Salt Water, and the opening on the Left is fresh water, so they meet in the middle and become a mix, pretty crazy! And oh, SO beautiful!

The next look out point that we went to was one that looked down over the old town, you can see the city walls very clear from here. And this is all of us posing for the pic!

The next stop was a little fishing village, the water here is AMAZING!!! So crystal clear everywhere! I wish we had this kinda of water here in America.

In this small village the kids were playing waterpolo and the boys couldn't help but jump right in!

And look at how beautiful the city is!! AHH lovely! I could live here!

This is up on the hill where you can over look the old city, the building that we are in front of was Napoleon Bonepart's (have no clue how to spell that! ha!) But this is the building that the croatians fought and beat the Serb's in the 1990-93 war. The war stopped here cause the croatians defended their home turf. Cool!

Now our next Stop was Athens, Greece! We went to the Acropolis! It was PACKED!! And so cool to see the ruins, what I like about Greece is that they are fixing the ruins. In Italy there is a no upkeep rule, and here they are trying to recreate what they looked like when that were first built.

Here we are on Peters rock over looking Athens. We actually met the new missionaries, they come here on their first day to have a prayer meeting. So cool that we were here the day they did this

UMmmm... ok, this was the MOST amazing gyro EVER! wow, it was so yummy!! Mark said the only regret that he had in Greece was not getting more gyros.

Then the next stop was Olympia, Greece. We decided to not go into the city because we saw a lot of ruins, so we played at the beach, in the beautiful clear water.

It was a lot of fun, we actually rented bikes and rode to this beach, and then after rode to a different beach, where there were jelly fish, they were beautiful! It was awesome! What a FANTASTIC cruise! Just thinking about it makes me wish I was back there! AH!! It was so great!

Florence!!!

What a beautiful city! Tragedy struck us when we entered it though, I left our camera on the train from Rome! SO sad!! So our first day in Florence was pretty low key cause we were bummed and tired. But don't get me wrong, we still had a fabulous day! So the crazy thing about these cities in Italy is that you can be walking down tight cobble streets, and then BAM! huge Cathedral right in front of you! The Florence cathedral was gorgeous! White with green trim and so so much detail!The picture above I edited with my cool app on my phone!

No the first place we went was the Accademia Gallery which has "The David"Do you see that line? It was insane! It wrapped all around the building! Jon was smart enough to get us a call time to go in so we didn't have to wait forever! Inside the museum we listened to Rick Steve's. He has a lot of travel books and audio tours, so we became real familiar with him on this trip. The highlight of the museum was this guy....

"The David" Now you aren't supposed to take pictures of him, but sneaky little Mark was able to get one, hehe (evil laughter) Now the hall leading to him is lined with Michelangelo's 4 prisoners, and at the end we see David. Now this picture is from a little far away but don't let that make you think this statue is normal sized! It was made to be an outdoors statue (picture below shows where hw stood before moving to the accademia) so he is 16 ft. tall! Huge! Michelangelo took 3 years to complete The David. His stance is one that is not afraid to take on Goliath. It is a very impressive statue. But he is the only thing really worth looking at in the Accademia, that's just my opinion though:)

So here is where David stood for hundreds of years before being moved inside, this place is called, "Piazza della Signoria".

The rest of the pictures in Florence were taken by Mark, he went on a whole city tour! By himself no less! I wanted to take a little nap and the parents wanted to go check out different gelato places. I loved my free time in Florence, after a lovely nap I went to a little outdoor cafe and read my nook and ate the yummiest penne pesto pasta for about 2 hours. Pure bliss!

This is a really old bridge, and there are shops on it! And they are actually working shops!

2nd day in Florence

We went on a 12 hour tuscany bus tour! It was SO fun! Our first stop was in Sienna. Now Siena is crazy, let me tell you why. They are just a little city, but they are SO proud! They have a huge rivalry with Florence, because.. they used to be the richest and most prominent city in Tuscany, then Florence started getting more and more power and ruled Sienna for a while, until Siena finally won a battle to keep it. They are a city of bankers, they have the largest bank there, the picture below is the of the bank and the statue is of the man who founded Sienna. Another awesome thing about Siena is The Palio, a horse race that happens twice yearly. Each building complex in the city is a different district with a different animal representing it. For instance the goose, caterpillar, and so on. When you are born into a district, that stays yours forever, even if you move to a different district. This is a HUGE deal, can you say major rivalries? I dare say it is even bigger than the BYU/Utah rivalry. If you district wins the Palio you have bragging rights for half the year and your buildings are crazy decorated so that everyone walking by them knows you won the Palio!

They place sand on the bricks so the horses shoes are safe and the course is wound through the square, look it up on youtube, it's insane!

This beautiful church is the Sienna Duomo! And it is GORGEOUS! It was started in the Gothic era and was finished in the Romantic era so it has both architecture on it.

The marbling is SO cool! Look at how it is striped, black marble, white marble, amazing!

Here is a marble floor design inside, remember how I told you that their district animals are important, I wasn't kidding! Here they are on the floor in the church!

Again, look at that Marble columns!! So amazing! Awe inspiring! I would love to have church in here, let's make it an LDS church and we are in!!

This arch was started by Michelangelo. The statue on the right closest to the ground was completely done by him, it's a statue of St. Peter, after that he was called by a guy named the pope to go and paint a little thing called the Sistine Chapel... So his students finished it for him.

This is St. Mary's room, it is the Prayer room. There were a lot of people in there with there rosaries prayin to Mary, the Statue is SO beautiful and was done by Donatello. Another known artist whose work is in this Duomo is Bemini.

Next our bus tour took us to an organic farm to have lunch, now what we were going to be eating was 95% from this farm! And it was delicious!! So fresh and yummy! We had Bruschetta, Meat sauce with parpadelle and Salad. Then a Biscotti for dessert, and of course tons of wine.. (j/k)

This is the farm, it was beautiful! Now I wasn't so much in love with Rome, but oh, TUSCANY! AMAZING!! So gorgeous! And the Sunflowers were in bloom just for us! Fields and Fields of Sunflowers! I am so sad I didn't get any good pictures of them :(

Now the city in the picture below is dubbed as little manhattan by the town folks, cause it has a very similar outline, as you can see! Now this place was our most, most favorite place in Italy! It's called... drum roll please... San Gimignano! It has won most well preserved city cause it has its original city walls and most a lot of its towers.

We realized as we were leaving just why it was our favorite place... other than the beauty and the wonder, it was all pedestrian! No real streets, no cars! Amazing!

The buildings are beautiful and so... European.. Ha!

It also has the world champion gelato place! I don't have a picture of it, what's up with that?! It was SOO delicious, I had a chocolate peach combo. And let me tell you, it was like eating the best peach with decadent chocolate, yummo!!

Now the towers in the picture below used to be used for safety from fighting. They lived in them at the very top so if a battle was coming they could see it and stay far above it. There used to be 70 or so towers in the city, now there are only around 14.

Below Mark and I are sitting on one of these original ancient walls, with beautiful Tuscany behind us, awwhhhh.

Towers in the back ground, we are on top a smaller tower and in a garden of sorts. In this garden was an artist who did water colors and we bought a beautiful painting of the sunflower fields with the rolling tuscan hills! My most favorite buy of the trip!!

Now you think we would be So tired by now! All this riding around, and all this walking, but, we weren't! It was so fun that we couldn't be tired! Our next and last stop was a little known town called, Pisa... ok it's more than a little well known. The picture below is the city wall, behind it is the Pisa Duomo and the infamous, Leaning Tower of Pisa!

Pretty shot of the tower behind the Duomo. Now let me tell you a little bit about the tower, it was built and then left for 3 years while the builders went to battle. When they came back the tower was leaning! So to try to fix the problem the architect had them start building one side longer, which one gave it a banana effect. But good thing, if it were a normal building, it wouldn't be fanous! The soil is no good in Pisa, little known fact is that a lot of buildings are leaning there!

Our ride home was one of Mark's and my favorite memories. We sat in the front so we had the view out the front windows. We played slug bug with any sedan we saw, since they are SO rare in Europe, we had to punch each others arms and call out what make the car was. It was painful, but so, so much fun!!!

ROME!!

About time for an update I think, and no better way to start than by posting about our trip to Europe we just took!!! I will post in sections, woo woo!

ROME!

So after a 24hr flying process we landed in Rome, Italy on Monday July 4th, 10:00am. I can never sleep on planes so I had no sleep, but all the others, Mark, Carol and Jon had some sleep and we were all rearing to go! Our day started right away. It was so fun to go through the customs line and have my passport stamped for the very first time! So we got with our shuttle driver and he took us to our apartment that we rented to the 2 days whilst we were in Rome. First thoughts on Rome, WOW! can't believe I am here! There are only two lanes of traffic? Mark points out that I will find no SUV's nor trucks, and hardly any sedans. A ton of graffiti and a bunch of traffic. But I am in ROME! So we get to our apartment, settle in, I take a 2 hour nap and the boys go get their bearings on the city and the bus system. I wake up to Mark bringing me home some DELICIOUS pizza, getting me excited for all the Italian eating we'll be having! So we head out and grab our bus and metro to take us to the Colosseum! We barely make it in time! Whew it's crazy figuring out how to get around in a large city.
First thoughts on the colosseum, WOW! can't believe I'm here, (ha, you'll get this reaction a lot the first days) 2nd, this ancient building is right in the midst of a bustling city, I can't imagine living there and driving right by the these ancient ruins every day!

The Colosseum was built over 2,000 yrs ago and used for the entertainment of the emperor and the Romans. Most of you have seen "Gladiator" so you know what kind of entertainment they enjoyed... eek!!
The colosseum has gone through a lot of structural damage, the seats and stairs, the floor, the side of the building, most have been destroyed, but there obviously is a lot still there! SO cool!!

This is the Forum where the Romans lived! It was very cool to pretend to be a Roman and walk around, all Roman like...

This is the Roman capital building as it stands today. It is SO beautiful! All white and shiny! So, another thought on Rome, There are more Scooters than cars by far!! If I live there I am for sure buying a scooter!
Mark and I's most favorite thing was the Pantheon! It was amazing! It is the oldest standing church in the world. Imagine walking down a tight street with cobble stone, and nowadays buildings and then all of a sudden walking into a marketplace and BAM!! This huge ancient church right in the middle! WOWZA!

And this is the Fountain of Four Rivers you may recognize this from "Angels and Demons" It is a very beautiful fountain.
And here is the Trevi Fountain we loved this place, it was so much larger than I thought it would be, like fills a whole market area! And we saw it at night (obviously shown in the picture) The lights and the water, and the statues! Ahhh!! So beautiful!

After a very long day of walking and seeing amazing things we were grateful to get back to the metro and on our way home, but guess what!? The metro had stopped running for the night! AH! So we walked forever to the bus station, found a bus that stopped close to our apartment, got on it and wait a minute... was not dropped off close to our apartment. So we walked, and walked, and prayed we were going in the right direction, and sure enough after 45 minutes we made it home! I have never sleep so well!!

The next day we had scheduled a tour through the Vatican. So we got up and ready, saw that there were pretty fierce clouds in the sky, thought, hmmm maybe we are should take umbrellas, and guess what, the apartment had umbrellas! So we take the umbrellas hoping that we don't need to use them, and sure enough, it POURS!!! We were soaked, even though we had umbrellas, the rain seemed like it was coming up from the ground too! which it was, cause it was SO hard! The roads were covered with inches in minutes! We had a funny little run in with a rat. We were standing in a little coverlet and this rat ran in and was jumping and running around our little cove, where there was very little space! ahh! But so funny! And then we ran to the Vatican, hoping to catch our tour guide before she left us. And we made it just in time!

They are mighty beautiful!This is St. Peters Square. It's crazy to be some where that is so publicized like this. It was way cool being here.

Rome was amazing! We ate a lot of gelato, pizza, and pasta. All in all I am not super impressed with the cuisine, I think us Americans have really improved on the food. But it still was delicious. Thank you Rome!

The Tuttles Home!

Kelly requested forever ago that I post our house! And I finally did it! Haha! So here you are Kelly, and all of yous whose interested! Mark and I are fortunate enough to have Marks Grandparents who bought houses for their grandchildren. We got to pick which on we liked and move in and rent from them! About 6 months into renting we decided to buy. So now we own the home. Pretty crazy! But it is wonderful!!

This front room was empty for a good part of the first year we lived here! Then my mother-in-law was so great to get me jump started to fill it! I am no good with interior design, so we decided what style I liked, I decided whimsical and light. And then we found the furniture and put the room together! It was SO fun! I LOVE this room!!

This is the front entrance. The sitting room is to the right, and a bathroom and garage are to the left.

This is our family room. Marks styling is more this room. The high contrast and sharp design. We bought the couch, TV stand, and TV when we first got married, and the design evolved through the year. We love this room and enjoy spending time in it!

This is the recreational room! I have my treadmill in here and our snowboards, someday this will be the babies room, but for now, it's this!

This is our bedroom, it doesn't have much in it yet. Hopefully soon it will be more designed! But it's comfy and large, so we love it!

This is our dinning room, My mom provided me with table decor for all 12 months, and more! SO fun! I love switching them out every month! This one here is Halloween.

Baja Mexico Cruise!!

So every year our Dentist Les takes us on two trips! One with our spouses, we usually stay close but have a blast, EX: in february we went to midway and stayed in a cabin and ate like kings a queens, and played on snowmobiles. So the next trip this year was a girls trip, and guess what we did?! We went on a cruise!!! 1st cruise I have ever been on! It was a blast, I was a bit sea sick most of the time, but that couldn't hold me back from having a good time! I love the people I work with, strange thing is we all get along, VERY well! So trips are like hanging out with your best friends! SO much fun! Les is the best boss ever, I told a patient the other day, he asked if we liked what we did as dental assistants. my response?, "Being a dental assistant is great, but having the boss we do, makes every day SO much better. He isn't stingy, and close minded. We have responsibilities and are expected to be great, And we are. And did I mention he's hilarious? Everyone of us when we're together just laughs and laughs Our patients have a very different experience when they come to us! Any way, back to the cruise! It was a 3 day cruise, we left from Long Beach, CA and ported in Ensenada Mexico.

There were so many men yelling for us to go to their shop, and how did they address us you ask? like this, "Hey barbie, come here, I got what you need" "Hey Britney Spears" "hey supermodel!" (say the previous with a thick mexican accent)very crazy, you just had to look straight ahead and pretend to not notice. HA!

Makin our way onto the cruise ship. We got there SO early, but it turned out perfect! I guess you have to wait in super long lines to get to the cruise. But, early check in is a breeze! We checked right in, got right on, ate lunch. We were even allowed into our rooms earlier than normal! It was awesome!!

Lindsey, Nicole and I. We've landed in Long Beach! Yay!! What a little air port. Mark and I went on our honey moon there so I had experienced this air port once before, but wow, it is tiny!

Cruises are so great because you can have all the food you want, and it is delicious!! mmmm, this is our dinner party. Our waiters were fabulous and hilarious! loved it!

I can't make this picture any smaller, darn it! But this was my favorite memory from the cruise!! We went into the piano bar one night, and they are so much fun! Everyone singing along with the piano man. So great! So it was getting late, maybe like 1am, and the piano man turned around to us and said, one of you three has to get on the piano and sing. I was SO IN!! So I sang Elton Johns, "I hope you don't mind" It was SO fun! Loved it!!

Anniversary!!!

We went to Snowbird Resort! We stayed one night, oktoberfest was going on so we stayed and played! So fun!! September was a perfect month to get married cause nature is GORGEOUS this month! Look at these views!!

This was a perfect get-a-way! I am so grateful to have Mark. He has taught me a lot about life and love, and how when you work hard and are 100% selfless, there is no greater reward than the love you have for one another! I love you Mark!!

Thompson Reunion!

Such a fun weekend !! We missed the Thompson troop dearly!! And Brig and Katry ;( Bummer! But it was great having everyone else there! Staven and Ashley did such a great job! Everyone had fun the whole time, it was a great success!! the first day we went up to a resort in Midway and Heather created an amazing greek feast, it was delicious! then we hung around and played games, and then all headed to bed!

In the morning was Mark and my breakfast. We did Creme Brule French Toast with strawberries! I'd say it was a hit! Here is a flash forward to boating. After breakfast we headed over to deer creek reservoir to go boating (thanks Jon) and Ski doo'ing Thanks Heather and Brig! So fun! Here's Ethan steering the boat!

Back to breakfast! This is what it looked like, next time I'll make sure I make more! (sorry it's upside down, I couldn't figure out how to rotate it)

So great! then the next morning Micah made us mountain man breakfast, it was delightful! then we headed to the park by Staven and Ashley and had our family olympics!! So fun! And then after that we went to Stav and Ash's and played on the bounce house! For dinner the Angeleri's made delicious apricot chicken and asparagus, and oh the fruit pizza! Love that!! then we met up for a devotional by mom and dad, ate the infamous tuna melts and orange slices prepared by Staven and Ashley. Then we went to church and had dinner, took family pictures and said sad goodbyes! I love you guys! Thanks fo being my family!!!

Our biannual (is that how you say, 2x's a year?!) trip to Hawaii! I love this Tuttle tradition! Sadly, there will be only one more planned trip, and that will be this christmas. The house is going up fo sale, and we're all sad to see it go! So these trips are for sure going to be remembered! This time I didn't take as many photos as last time and I am SO disappointed!! The pictures we do have are due to Mark, and they are gorgeous!! Yay! This is the hawaiian sunset, so beautiful!

The days were spent sleeping in, changing straight into swimsuits, and heading to the beach. We would always have a different activity to do. Paddle boarding, snorkeling, boogie boarding, skim surfing, swimming in the perfect waves! I definently love the summer in Hawaii. Sunshine, calm waves, clear water. I loved sitting at the beach with the ladies, each had a book in our hands, and we'd watch our husbands play tackle football in the waves, we'd laugh with each other, go back to reading, all the while knowing that we were getting beautiful tans. Now, I have to talk about the waves. At Waimea Beach they were SO perfect, no curling at the top and crashing down, just powerful swells that would take you on a journey up the beach and then back into the ocean, everyone was in the water playing the same game with the waves, back and forth. It was perfect!! One day we went to Waimea Valley, it is so beautiful there. My first and only experience before with Waimea valley was with Heath, Kelly and fam. I had such fond memories I was excited to get back there! And it didn't disappoint, it was still just as beautiful! At the end of the valley there is a waterfall that you can play in
We all brought our swim suits and made great memories swimming into the waterfalls pocket and emerging like mermaids under the falls.
Such a variety of plants and flowers. Everything had an explanation stating why it was there and where it originated from.
It was a beautiful jungle and I really wanted to play Tarzan and Jane and swing from vine to vine!!

Another day we went to honolulu and went shopping at the flea market, and then later that night at the mall. We also went to a beach call Lanikai, it has white sand and warm waters. Most of us were bummed that it took 2 hours to get there but realized after a while that it was definently worth it! I really wished we had more photos, I'll just have to keep the memories near the surface so I can remember them often

Good bye paradise Hawaii, see you in December. Till then I'll be dreaming of you often

Thompson Family Reunion!

Such a fun weekend !! We missed the Thompson troop dearly!! Bummer! But it was great having everyone else there! I'm actually doing this blog post from my iPhone so I can only add one picture. Soon I'll add more when I get on my computer. But I loved this one ! This is the Thompson Olympics and we were doing the stick comp where you tie your feet to the boards and have to move together. Ha! This is dad and Micah definently working together!! So sweet !

Tuttle Reunion/My B-day/Wagner Reunion

The first annual Tuttle Family Reunion! We went to Park City and had a blast!!! We stayed in the Marriott on Main Street, it was beautiful and had the coolest Activity center with wii, basketball, tetherball, pool, and 4 hot tubs! We went to the Park City resort and did the Alpine Slide and Coaster, and it was so fun!! then we just hung out played games, ate food and just had a blast! So great!!

Then we had the Wagner reunion! We wet down to Zions Ponderossa. It was a beautiful resort! We got to stay in these beautiful cabins and play in the pools and play mini golf, and paintball, eat every meal buffet style! It also happened to be my birthday that friday! The Tuttle's made it extra special!

We woke up and ate a yummy breakfast then watched the USA vs. Slovenia game. It was an awesome game! Even though we tied and should've won! Mark was cheering for Slovenia cause he went there for his mission, but it was ok to have friendly comp. with him;) Then we went on a hike (pictured further down) Jenny made me the most delicious lemon poppy seed cake. And the Tuttle's sang me happy birthday and gave me gifts! Then I got in a lovely nap, and then we played mini golf and had a bonfire and then played games til midnight! So great!!

We went to Overlook Point on our hike. It was a 7 mile hike round trip. It was beautiful a a lot of fun! Oh no I'm about to go down!!

Dance Dance Dance!!!

Now A lot of you might be saying right now, "wait a second, aren't you a little to old t be dancing?" And I would say to that, you are NEVER to old to dance!! This year was SO fun! My cousin Vicki is the assistant director at a dance company, "Jive" and she has put together a group full of "retired" dancers! We all were on high school dance teams, or danced in company's. ( Like me, did cheer in high school but danced and sang at Showcase) So we all loved dancing and are still very talented in the art of dancing! It's so much FUN!! This year I had my sister-in-law Sarah and two of my best friends, Bryton and Emily, do it with me!

It was my beatiful sister-in-laws birthday the first of May! I am so grateful for her! She is quickly becoming one of my best friends! We live close so we are doing things with Chris and Sarah at least twice or more a week. We get a long great, we can share our hearts and laugh and just enjoy being together! Sarah! Thank you for being my sister!!!

We started at this belgium restaurant in Salt Lake, it has the most amazing belgium waffles!! SO so yummy!!
Then we drove up to Ogden to go to the surf simulator. It was SO fun! It was in the same building as the indoor skydiving- pictured here.

I know everyone knows but I have the GREATEST dad!! He is kind, and humble, happy, outgoing, energetic, family man, hardest worker I've ever met (and I've had the pleasure of working with him;) I am so grateful for my dad. He has provided for me to have every childhood wish. So dad, here's to you!

For his birthday I wanted to do something extra special cause he deserved it! So Mark and I decided to take him to a jazz playoff game! Just daddy daughter! It was a blast!!! The Jazz won, so he was their good luck charm, thank goodness he came!
He won us these noise makers, and wow, for being so simple they sure make a lot of noise!

YAY!! Mark is done with finals! On to Summer vacation!! He as already found out that he's aced two finals and more scores like that are sure to roll in! Mark is a great student, he is a little smarty pants! He is going into Manufacturing engineering, and he is really enjoying it.

Grandma W. still paying for school

2 grants!!

Mark basically getting paid to go to school, no really!

We have been so blessed to have the grants and scholarship! I am still paying off my dental assistant school, so those will help us be debt free!! By the end of summer we won't have a loan to re-pay! Hooray!!!

Now Mark is looking forward to going mountain biking, road biking, camping, being outside with his wifey, boating, traveling, remodeling our house, yard work, relaxing, NOT having home work!! YAY for summer!

Just a few of my favorites right now!!! Miranda Lambert has an awesome new album out- my most favorite song is, " the house that built me" Listen to it! It'll make you cry with fond memories! I have always loved Carrie Underwood, she always has new great music! I hate to admit this- but I think Justin Bieber is adorable and an incredible singer! All the songs on his album are just great! Lady Antabellum are one of my new favorites! And Paramore has always been one of my favorites, LOVE LOVE LOVE their new album! And my new favorite!! GLEE!! The soundtrack is so great! All the great songs redone by these talented artists, and the show is so fun!! Yay for music!!!

New Rice Cooker

What a great invention!! I called Heather cause I was sick of minute rice! It just isn't that great. And Heather always has yummy rice. So After some instruction from the sis I went to Target and bought a rice cooker! I made orange shrimp and used the rice cooker for the rice! It was mind blowingly better than minute! We are never going back!!

This weekend Mark, Sarah, Chris and I went to the Jabbawockeez concert on Friday! It was so good! These guys are serious dancers! Amazing and entertaining! They were the first crew to win ABDC (America's best dance crew) on MTV. Since then they have recieved a lot of success. They wear the same outfits with masks and gloves to show that they are a team, and move as a team. It is so cool to not see individuals, cause it gives they style greater continuity. So cool!! If they come to town again I'd recommend seeing it!

The Festival of Colors

"Hare Hare Rama Rama" we're the chants that were filling the air as we were walking to the Hindu temple in Spanish Fork. Every spring they have a festival of colors to help welcome in spring! It is a blast!! Everyone throws powdered chalk that are all the colors of the rainbow, and you get colored and beautiful! Here we are before the chalk war.

There were people EVERYWHERE, this is us walking up to the temple. We went with Tanner's family. The Browns, and mom and dad Tuttle came too! And here is the temple with less than half the people that were there I am sure! You can see the color already flying around!
Now the real color begins!! It is such a thick cloud that you can't breath! It is insane! But oh so much fun!!

Emily came and through providence we found each other!!

Mark and I had a lot of fun! My hair still has pink in it that I can't get out!! Happy Spring everyone!!

December 7th the Tuttle's went on an amazing race! We went to the mall and ran around finding clues and getting items! We had no idea what the winning team would get, but knowing Carol it was going to be something GREAT!! Mark and I returned 2nd!!! Ah nuts!!! So we stand before Carol and Jon (a.k.a Phil from Amazing Race) She said, "Mark and Jaleah you are team number 2. For your prize you get this sack of goodies, and your prize for being 2nd is written on the paper inside. Mark and I opened the sack and read on the paper. "Since moms birthday is the day after christmas and she recieves one free day at the disneyland resort,she is taking the whole family on a three day paid vacation to Disneyland!! WOOO HOO!!! And boy was it a blast!

We arrived Christmas night and enjoyed jumping on our beds and going crazy!

This was my third time this year going to Disneyland, and it was still just as great!!!

Disney had HUGE christmas trees all over the park! It was so festive and awesome!
The whole families FAVORITE ride was Toy Story!! We went on it at least 8 times!! It's 3D and you have 8 different screens to raise your score by hitting targets! We were so competitive, it was SO fun!
We had a 3-day park hopper pass so everyday we went to both parks. Such a blast!

In California adventure they have a Disney studios where they show you how they make their movies, and then you can be part of one. In one of the sections you go into the Beasts chamber, and it tells you what disney character you would be. Dot, from a bugs life was mine, and Mark's said his was Simba! Ha funny!

It was so cool to be there during christmas, it wasn't too busy until the last day, and we'd already done everything anyways so it was ok!

Look at how disgusted I am! Ha! It was horrible! I am so glad it got on camera! And so cute, Mark and I are holding hands!
The haunted mansion was all decked out in the nightmare before christmas stuff. It was so cool!

(Actually, we knew where the camera was going to be, so right before it, I screamed to Mark to make the most scared face ever! Boy did it turn out!!! ahahah)

For Thanksgiving 2009 the Tuttle's went to Hawaii!! I haven't been there since I went with Heath and Kelly, Kinners, Maddi, and Kade! So it was so cool to be going back cause I have such great memories from that!!
We got in to Hawaii about 3:00 pm. Dad and Anne came and picked us up and drove us home to the North Shore! Mark's grandparents, the Wagners have a beach house there. Right off the beach, it's SO beautiful! I can't believe I didn't take any pictures of it! There are two quaint and comfortable cottages on the property. So when we got home we hurried and changed and walked down to the beach and played in the beautiful water and waves! Next morning we chilled and listened to the Air Force vs. BYU game on the radio, then realized that we were in Hawaii and should go out an do something ;) we decided to go on a hike, Anne knew this really cool hike. It was beautiful! It followed the shore line, and was really neat!

So when I take pictures, I try to make the most pleasant face possible. I think this one turned out really well! As you are going through all these pictures make sure to take note of all my pleasant faces:)
On Sunday there was the pro surfing competition going on at haleiwa beach park. So we got on our swimming suits and headed over! On our way there we saw a farmers market going on. So we had to stop! Fresh fresh fresh food, drinks, wow it was awesome! So yummy! There is a painter that is very famous for doing graffiti art. He just draws on the sides of building, so as you're driving you'll see a whole side of a wall painted, and know, oh there goes Ron Artez again, doing his grafitti art! It really is beautiful!

During the winter the waves are so extreme that surfers from all over come to the North Shore to be in these surf competitions! It was so neat to be here during this time

So Sarah brought her "Hip Hop Abs" Video, and of course we had it do it! This was one morning when we were caught in the action

So during the week there was a day when the waves were so high that people weren't allowed to play in the water, so we went and watched a surfing competition, crazy thing is.. that the waves got too intense for even them to ride them. It was so amazing, you'd drive along the beach and cars were stopped everywhere and people were just sitting on the beach watching the waves. WOW!

So the last day Mark and I took a long walk along the beach! So lovely!! And we found incredible things! Like this here little guy!- yea not so little! He's huge!
And lo and behold, we come across the LOST set!!!!! One of my favorite TV shows!! They weren't filming, bummer, but seeing the set was awesome enough!! Here is the camp they had on the beach

Honeymoon!!

The wedding and reception were perfect! Thank you mom for doing everthing! It was memorable and beautiful! Thank you so so much!!! After our luncheon Mark and I headed off to our honeymoon. We started it out in Beautiful Park City! We stayed in the Stein Erickson Lodge. It was the perfect place for a honey moon! Lots of space, private hot tub, just perfect!

Our second day we went to the alpine slide and main street, it was so fun! Mark actually took me there for my birthday, so it was a memorable place that we both perviously loved, so that made it even better! I'm sad we didn't take more pictures, but we were having too much fun to worry about it, bummer!!
So after 2 days we flew to California! We stayed in Dana Point and played at Laguna Beach, Huntington beach, balboa Island, Newport Beach. We stayed at the Marriot, so it was nice to just relax there too! It was so perfect and fun!! HEre was one of the pier's at Huntington beach, we didn't play in the water here, but it was fun to walk along the beach. This is my favorite beach, so clean and sandy!
This was Balboa Island, it was so cool to walk down the streets of this little Island, such beatuiful little houses lined the streets! And you have to take a ferry to get to the Island, and there are so many fun shops, and the waves on this beach were huge! So cool!

Yes so sad, we don't have more pictures, but it was so so fun! Thanks honey for such an amazing honeymoon!

Wedding Reception!!

It's been a long time coming, but I've finally have these up!! I loved everything about the reception- the location, the decorations, the food, the people, the family, the love, my LOVE!!!

For the decorations we had the most amazing ice sculptures being the bookends of our food table. They were SO GORGEOUS!!!!

Everyone loved the food and the decor. It was PERFECT!!! Little Kaleb seemed to be enjoying his frappe!

My family is SO cute!!! I'm just missing The Thompson's Troop. Wish they were here! I am so greatful that Heath was able to make it for the wedding!!

One of the neatest things were the chocolate fountains. We had a fountain with milk chocolate, white chocolate, and carmel! SO delicious! There were 15 different treats to dip into it. I just wish I had more time to delve into it more!

Now the food was amazing too!!! We had an assortment of vegetables, chicken croissant sandwiches and a uber yummy waldorf salad.

We have only known each other for a little time, but we know that we are supposed to be together forever!! I love him, he is sweet, and kind, and quiet, and fun, and supportive, and loving, and oh so handsome. He is strong in his belief and loves the Lord and does all he can to represent Him. I am so lucky to have him in my life, and forever just won't be long enough!!

Mark and I went up the canyon and it was just so beautiful!! In July it is normally already brown and not as pretty, but since we've gotten so much rain it has stayed green and luscious!! So beautiful!! This was a perfect day!!

This past weekend was Spring Break for the schools in this area. And since I work for a dentsit who has kids that go to school, we got to take Spring Break off too!! At first I wasn't going to be doing anything, and I wasn't satisfied with that. So my friend Lexi that I work with said, "hey, let's go to California" So we did. I went howe at lunch, packed, came back to work and we left right at 5 to head to California. We got into Cali at around 3:30 am, and after having to wait till 7am to check into our hotel, we got in our room, sleep till 12, and then headed out for adventures! We decided to go to Six Flags first. It was a BLAST!! I love rollercoasters!

The next day we headed out to the Santa Monica Beach. We loved laying in the sun and playing in the waves. We made the greatest sand castle ever!!

Then we headed over to the santa monica piers to view what the street sellers were selling, and to play on the rides

Then we are dinner at the famous Bubba Gump Shrimp, It was SOO good! I hot the mahi mahi, and it was mucho deliciouso

Then the next day we went to DISNEYLAND!!

California Adventure closed at 9pm, but Disneyland was open till midnight so we went back over there and partied!

Then the next day we went to church at a Spanish ward. All the people I were with served in the New York, New York mission, and one of their elders was having his homecoming, so we went to his ward for it. I didn't understand anything, but the church is true all over the world! Then we went to the look out that the recently returned Elder loves, it was beautiful! After we got in the car and headed home. We got home at 4am, but it was so worth it!! What a great vacation!!

Valentines Day

So Valentines was a blast. And yes I am just posting these pictures... You see, I just got a new baclground and I was so excited about it that I wanted to put up a new post and try to get more current! We went to Bucco di beppo (or some spelling like that..) and the food was DELICIOUS!! It was served family style so we all shared huge dishes of pasta and meats and yumminess. Here is Vick and her date Jon. These are the only photos that I got of the event. But hey- at least I have some captured memories of this day!

My beatuiful sister and her handsome husband came down from Idaho to play with us. But they were only there for dinner- boo hoo! But at least we got them for that!

Another Best Friend's Wedding!

One of my best friends Emily Arbon just got married this past Saturday. Funny thing is, another of my best friends got married the same day two years ago! Whew, maybe December 27th will be my wedding day... Emily was put (through fate) as one of my roomates my freshman year at BYU, and we have been best of friends ever since!

This is another best friend, Todd Schwartzmen. Funny story about these two is they knew each other before I knew them both. Todd was a good friend during high school, and so when I got my list of roomates for heritage halls, Todd said that he met Emily at a freshman orientation, so he called her up and I got to talk to her and say hi, before we ever met.

Em and I! I can't believe she's married, she was the most non-commital girl ever, and now she has found the most perfect man for her! Yay! I am happy that she is so happy!

They both actually wen to school at BYU Hawaii, so they met there but never really talked, and then went to BYU provo the next semester, they saw each other on campus and said hi, and got on the subject of high school, and so it was easy to start talking cause they had me in common!

Two friends that were in the same apartment complex's as Em and I. Cable on the left live in Raintree apts, and was in our ward. And Amos in the right lived in Branbury apts with us.

So I put myslef in charge of Emily's bridal shower, but I didn't want it to be just the usual sit in the living room playing games and all that jazz. So I reserved a private lounge in this non-alcoholic restraunt called Spark's. It is classy and creative lounge in Provo that sells ecletic food and drinks. It was so much fun!!! We ordered appetizers, drinks, and played games and opened presents.

Emily is drinking a Mango Mojito, Alison is drinking the same, Bryton is drinking a Shirley Temple, (that is cotton candy on her straw) and I am drinking a lychintini. These drinks were presented pretty, and tasted so refreshing and delicious!

Graduation!

So this is a little behind, but it's better late than never right!! Ha, so after High School I got in to BYU, and I was going into Marriage and Family Therapy. In this major you have to have a masters degree, and I decided that I did not want to have to get a masters degree! I wanted to be done with school and out there making money! I decided that it would be perfect for my future family if I got a degree in something that I could start as soon as possible. And so... with my history with braces and jaw surgery and such, I have always been interested in dental assisting. I always loved my assistants that helped me. So on my way to school I always passed school called ameritech, and then one day it hit me, that's it!! That's what I need to do! So I checked out the school, and I felt again that that was where I needed to be. So I went through the 9 month program, and the two month internship. And I graduated!!

These are the girls that I went in with. Jackie, she came from Canada, and Kristen, she is from Highland. We became fast friends and had a blast the whole time during school. Gradutation was definently bitter sweet!

These are two of my teachers. Lynn and Genna. They were amazing and taught me a lot!

These are all the girls that graduated at the same time as us. And my other teacher, Laura. I three of the best teachers ever! We had fun, as well as learning a lot!

Mom, Dad, Grandpa, Grandpa, K, and Linds, came and watched it all go down.

Computer Hardrive Took A Hard-Dive.

So my computer has been warning me that I didn't have firewall protection, but I thought nothing about. Until the fateful day that my computer crashed. And the computer guys at PC laptop told me that everything was gone. All my pictures, all my college papers, all my music, all gone. Such a sad day:( So I haven't even been motivated to take new pictures or nothing. But since I am writing this blog I have gotten up the courage to start again. Thank goodness for facebook though. I have a lot of pictures on there that would've been lost forever had they not been in those albums!! Moral of that story, there is always a ray of sunshine in a cloud covered sky.

So this was another good season for the Grandma's boys. They didn't win the championship, but they got SO close. They ended up placing 3rd. It was so fun to have the whole family chillin in the side lines watchin our boys!

The Redd's came up for the weekend!! YAY!! And Katry and I went to High School Musical 3! It was so fun to be with her! We ate ice cream, played cards and watched and sang and danced along to the movie.

I am pondering as to how to stop the rain problem... but it all worked out. The rain fell but it was beautiful and didn't dampen our spirits at all!
We had about a 5 hour break in between the luncheon and the sealing. So the Thompson crew and Micah and I ran up to Mike and Gabi's house and chilled there for a while and then headed onto the tram to go over to the gateway to spend our time. It was so fun! This is the luncheon. We had some more Fabulous food! And amazing entertainment! This little diddy was by the Heath crew and they really have the moves. Hip and Hopping all over that stage! And at the end they brought all the boys in the family up and free-styled. Let me tell you, those boys have a ton of style!!

Kaleb and Lindsey's Family dinner. Her whole familyand our whole family got together for a Mexican Fiesta! And boy was it ever delicious!!! Mom made her famous green chili burritos with chicken enchilada cassarole and mexican rice. It was so yummy! And then we all sat around telling our fondest memories of Linds and K, then we cleaned up and played red rover! It was so fun cause our family dynamics are completely different. We have older kids, and they still have younger kids so all our the neices and nephews had a friend who was the same age as them. It was so fun and so great to see every one interact.

Long Awaited- Staven and Ashlee's Wedding

Oh what a happy magical event. Staven is finally married, and he got the women of his dreams!! It was so nice to have a reason for the whole family to come out! With two weddings we got to have the family here for TWO weeks!! I was in heaven!! And I finally figured out how to put these pictures in order, so this post is not going to make you light headed!!

This is the Thompson/Rassmusen dinner. We got together with Ashlee's family and ate such delicious food! We had lasagna, salad, bread sticks, and a yummy mango pie!! The food was so delicious mom!! Thank you! Here we've got Kinners, Maddi and Maizie all gathered in for a sister picture!! So cute!! All they're missing is lil' Millie!

I find this picture so endearing!! So we all of a sudden notice that Milly is missing, so we look around and she is down at the creek with Uncle Micah and he is showing her all he world down there. And when she's done looking around, they come back up hand in hand. SO Sweet!

So when all the adults were gathered around telling their fond memories of Stav and Ash I got to go play with the kids. my favorite job EVER!! We jumped on the tramp, crossed the creek, played truth or dare (and nearly interupted the story telling, these things can get a bit crazy!) And then came the arm wrestles!

After the dinner we all came home and had one big sleepover! We played games and chatted all night. It is so nice to have everyone gathered around and just talking. We have a great family!

Temple day!!! Staven and Ashlee were sealed for all time and all eternity on July 30th, 2008! I want to thank Katry for helping me out so much with Kai. He was being fussy while the grown ups were in the temple and she never left my side. SO SWEET!! Katry you're such a tender heart, i love you! We walked around the temple grounds and she got little Kai to fall asleep. And then during Kaleb's wedding sealing, she noticed I wasn't in the room and came and searched me out while I was trying to comfort Kai in another room. And stayed by my side then too! I was hoping you would come find me! I am so thankful to you Katry!! I love you!

Dana came to the wedding dinner we had this night, and I told Kinners, Maddi, and Katry that I want Micah to like and ask out Dana, and all the girls were so excited!! They thought Dana was So cute!! So they wanted to go tell Micah to go ask her to dance. But I told them that Micah probably wouldn't if we asked, but maybe he'd do it on his own. So this was a fun little secret that the girls and I had all night!

I have the most amazing mother in the whole world!! She has provided me so many opportunities, I am a girl who has done it all! And my mother has been there every step of the way! When I was in Showcase, (singing and dancing group) my mom wouldn't just drop me off at practice, she would come in and watch! She had so many other things she could've done, but she didn't, she wanted to watch every tranformation I made, she didn't want to miss a thing! She knew what it would take for me to become a great performer, she got me into private voice lessons, I took from several teachers because my mom wanted me to be well rounded in all styles. Every tour, every dance competition, my mom was always by my side. And I always wanted her there, never did I thought that I wanted to do it on my own. I always wanted her with me. She brought the best out of me. When I wanted to cheer she let me take private tumbling lessons. So I would be the best cheerleader I could be. She always had family scripture study in the mornings, she always made sure that we loved reading the Book Of Mormon, and had family prayer. She taught us the gospel and did so in such a way that I wanted to live it, and never strayed from what she taught me. I am so grateful to her for that. When I got old enough to be out on my own, she let me. She knows that I needed to spread my wings and try to fly on my own, always being there when I needed a little extra lift. She is my best friend, my confidant, my inspiration, my hero. I love my mother!!! I am so Lucky to have her in my life!
